Last Family on Earth

The Daily Mail reports:

The Spike television network is airing a competition this fall to award a fortified bunker to a family that believes the end of the world is near.

The network said Tuesday that its six-episode series called Last Family on Earth will feature survivalists competing to show how tough and resourceful they are.

The winner gets an underground bunker in an undisclosed location, just in time for the apocalypse predicted by the Mayan calendar on December 21, 2012.

Viewers will also learn useful information about survival skills, she said.

Contestants will be primed for a wide range of annihilation scenarios, including a pandemic, global government or economic collapse, nuclear war, reactor meltdowns, solar flares, massive asteroids, lethal climactic change, a pole shift, calamitous earthquakes, and even widespread anarchy.

Winners will be selected by a panel of survival experts, with viewers given a say through social media.

The families involved and the judges haven't been selected for the series, produced by reality TV maven Craig Piligian and Pilgrim Studios.
I didn't see anything in the article about surviving the zombie apocalypse, which is too bad, because if you are ready to survive the zombie apocalypse, you're ready to survive anything.
